What's new at the studio.

12.13.2007 - What a year!
Well, as evidenced by a lack of new news entries, we've been quite too busy to keep up with it!

There was a nice interview with studio owner Mark Alan Miller in the local weekly paper The Valley Advocate recently. Read it here.

New Radiant Storm King had their song "The Winding Staircase" placed in the movie "Catch And Release". The returned this year and tracked and mixed their latest CD. Bully Club and Farewell Radiance also recorded their new albums this year.

Tim Eriksen and Cordelia's Dad are back, mixing a two-CD live show, and recording some other material as well.

Producer/multi-instrumentalist Anand Nayak has been in working with several artists this year, becoming an important and regular fixture at the studio. Some artists he's working with include Alex Bartlett, Victor Sandman, and SteveSongs.

We've been working on continuing projects with Brandon Patton, Susan Torrey, rapper Zemek, Hamenth, Rob Neimann, and Chris Pahl and Eric LeDuc, formerly of Nardus, have been recording some new material.

Mark Cunningham from the New York NoWave band Mars was in to transfer some live cassette recordings for release.

Brooklyn songwriter Katie Sawicki came in to mix her Jose Ayerve (of Spouse) produced solo album.

Man The Conveyors returned for a new CD and split-7" recording.

Mark Schwaber has started his third solo CD, and Daisy Mayhem are scheduled to come in for some new recordings.

Acapella groups The Bluestockings, The DQ, The Zumbyes, Route 9, and The Notables all have been in working on their records.

The title theme for the baseball mini series Eye On The Dream, written by Star Drooker, and performed by Mark Erelli, Star Drooker, Ray Mason, Jim Armenti and JJ O'Connell was tracked and mixed. Star also recorded several pieces for the soundtrack.

Dave Smith and the Country Rebels recorded an 8-song CD. The Pop Rockets recorded their latest children's music CD.

The Probates and Unit 7 both came in to record, as did Breathing Fire and Edison Arthur.

Roger Salloom has returned and begun work on his new CD. Several guest musicians are slated to appear, and Charles Neville has already contributed some great playing.

And last but very much not least, our longtime engineer Jon Hebert has gone on to different career choices - we wish him the best of luck in his endevours!

That's a good squeeze...
